After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) It is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. 

  • Tsomgo Lake

Lost in the lofty mountains at the height of 12,400 ft above sea level your first stop would be Tsomgo Lake, a paradise for travel savvy. After 3 hours of long drive, you will encounter the ‘holy source of water’ hallowed by native people. The picturesque view of the lake will not allow you to put your camera down because this view is something you want to preserve for ages.

  • Baba HarbhajanMandir

Finally, it is time to remember the eminent personality of the Indian Army, Captain Harbhajan Singh who is known for his unusual story. He is that significant soldier who is still believed to be with us even after his tragic death in the Indo-Pak war of 1965. At the altitude of 4000 m, every Indian worships this pure soul in a shrine named after him as Baba HarbhajanMandir.

Overnight stay at Gangtok.

(In case of Landslide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.)

  • From Gangtok, follow a hilly road surrounding the colorful houses, tiny hamlets, and lonely monasteries. In between, you will see the beautiful miniatures of Chardham and 12 jyotirlingas at the SiddheshwarDham (Chardham) and lay eyes on the 45 feet high copper statue of Guru Padmasambhava. After the sightseeing tour, continue your ride towards Pelling. Upon arrival at Pelling, you will be transferred to a hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

 

  • The seventh day is going to be particularly scenic as you will be going for a city sightseeing tour. Today, in the first half, you will be visiting Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzonga waterfalls. At the Darpa village, you will get a chance to explore local culture and meet and greet people of Bhutias, Chettris, Tamangs, Rais, Gurungs and Lepchas communities. To witness the great symbiosis of sound and sight, you should visit Khangchendzonga waterfalls. For lunch, you will enjoy a stop at some good restaurant. In the second half of the day, you will be visiting Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, and the New Helipad Ground. Get back to the hotel for overnight stay. 
  • SKY WALK can be visited on an extra vehicle cost of INR 1000 and INR 100 per person entry ticket. 

 

  • On the seventh day, done with your morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel and straight away travel to Darjeeling. During the journey, from Pelling to Darjeeling, you will come across Singhik viewpoint, from where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mighty Khangchendzonga. The whiff of tea and sound of toy trains symbolizes that you are somewhere in and around Darjeeling. Upon arrival at Darjeeling, you will be transferred to a hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

 

  • Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  • After Breakfast check out from Hotel and Drive to drop at NJP Rly station / IXB Airport
